About scan licences
Purchasing a scan licence enables you to collect leadsA lead is a person who represents a sales opportunity for your company. with the Visit Connect app and gain full access to the all data on your leads, including contact details. Each licence is valid for one device, for one event. If you want to collect leads on three devices, you need three scan licences. You can assign scan licences to stand personnel in the Visit Connect portal, or download them from your order confirmation email (see Ordering licences).
You can order Visit Connect scan licences either directly from the event organiser, or through our online shop (with a credit card). This depends on the event. You will be given the opportunity to order licences either as you register for the event, or shortly afterwards. If you're not sure how to order, feel free to contact us.
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. The order confirmation contains a link to your licences, as well as instructions for setting up your Visit Connect account.

If you decide at the event that you need more licences, you can order them at the Visit Connect desk or directly from the organiser.
Each order for Visit Connect begins with a starter package. The starter package contains:
- your activation code for the Visit Connect web portal, where you manage your accounts, licences and leads;
- a scan licence, enabling you to collect leads on one device.
If you want to collect leads on more than one device, you must order extra licences in addition to the starter package. The prices of starter packages and additional licences vary between events. Please contact us for details.
To collect leads on your smartphone or tablet with the Visit Connect app, you must activate your scan licence by scanning the QR code with your device camera. Scan licences can be downloaded from your order confirmation email (see Ordering licences) and from the Visit Connect portal.
Once a scan licence is activated, you cannot transfer it to another device. Make sure you choose a device that is available for the duration of the event. For example, don't use the personal phone of someone won't be there every day. Instead, use a shared tablet that can be handed from person to person (see also Do I have to use my phone to collect leads?).
If you're using barcode scanners, you don't need to activate your scan licences. Just pick up your scanners before or during the event, and return them when you're finished to the Visit Connect desk. During the course of the event, you can drop by the Visit Connect desk with the scanner to synchronise your data. Once synchronised, the lead data will be accessible from your account in the Visit Connect portal.
Billing, invoices and receipts
If you ordered your licences directly from the event organiser (see Ordering licences), then the organiser will send you your receipt. Contact the organiser if you didn't receive it.
If you ordered your licences through our online shop with a credit card, we will send your receipt by email. Contact us if you didn't receive it.
